Sarah-Jane Morris

Partner and Manager of The Way Experiences

Originally from the UK, Sarah-Jane moved to Spain in 1994 when she married Javier. An avid traveller, she has walked and cycled the length the breadth of Spain and still marvels at the diversity of beauty, culture and food that Spain has to offer.

After a career spanning over 25 years in the world of social policy, international development and diplomacy, in 2022 she decided to join Javier in the company and make her passion for travel and Spain a way of life. With The Way Experiences, she aims to offer others the opportunity to experience the incredible personal journey that is The Camino in the most authentic and comfortable way possible.

Javier Bartolomé

Founder and Manager

Javier studied sociology in the United Kingdom but wanted to come back to his home country to live. He is a passionate man that loves his country and to travel. In 2008 Javier founded an Incoming Travel Agency specializing in active, walking and cycling tours and he has made the company grow year by year.

Javier has guided the Camino de Santiago groups both cycling and walking and is now centered in making the whole operation grow and run smoothly.

Lara Bartolomé

Marketing and Sales Officer

Lara studied philosophy in Great Britain, her work path has brought her to the office eager to learn more each day, and happy to start new projects.

She is in charge of customer service with Cumbres Viajes and supports the rest of her team in everything necessary. She also helps with social media and other marketing projects.

She is passionate about rock climbing and music which she enjoys in her spare time.

Javier Ramírez

Operations Manager and Group Leader

Javier worked for many years in muntinationals selling services but in 2014 he decided to join our team to do what he is passionate about. Javier loves history and is very knowlegable about Spanish heritage and is a keen runner, cyclist and mountanier.

Javier has guided many times the Camino de Santiago and his service outlook and his high standars in service delivery make him a perfect Operations Manager.
